Dr. Richard Cytowic, George Washington University neurologist, wrote a book called, Wednesday Is Indigo Blue: Discovering the Brain of Synesthesia. This sculpture is Carol Steen's representation of his name.
Synesthesia is when a certain sense or part of a sense is working, and another unrelated sense or part of a sense is working concurrently. Many synesthetes find that expression through art comes naturally, the art that they create is normal to them, something they see every day. The purpose of this blog is to show the beauties of synesthetic art, and portray the different ways every day life is being experienced. To show art created by those experiencing different realities.
